Municipal Court

The Municipal Court is committed to providing excellent administrative and clerical support for municipal court proceedings with knowledgeable, educated staff serving customers with excellence. 

The Municipal Court provides administrative and clerical support for municipal court proceedings. Responsibilities of the court include collection of fines, fees and state costs, filing citations and complaints, court scheduling, issuing, tracking and clearing warrants, maintaining the juror database, updating court records and reporting collections, convictions and statistical data to appropriate state agencies. 

The Plano Municipal Court is a recognized leader throughout the State of Texas and is committed to serving citizens in a manner with efficiency and excellence. 

Changes to Plano Municipal Court

Effective July 1, 2012, the City of Plano Municipal Court converted to a court of record. This conversion affects all trial proceedings before the Municipal Court and all appeals from judgments. Defendants must request any trial recording.
