Council member Lily Bao loves everything that Plano has to offer: a diverse community, great public safety, quality education and a safe place to live, work, raise a family and start a business.
As a first generation immigrant, Bao deeply appreciates the freedom and opportunities this great country offers. She is a proud Texan and believes it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Bao has served on the Plano Housing Authority Advisory Board and Plano ISD Diversity Advisory Board. Lily served as a PTA Officer for three consecutive years from 2015-2018. She is a member of the Plano Chamber of Commerce as well as the Asian Real Estate Association of America.
Lily Bao recently received the “Fred & Mazzie Moses Community Engagement Award”. She is also an active member of the Collin County Myers Park & Event Center Advisory Board.
Lily received her B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from UMass-Dartmouth with Summa Cum Laude honors. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. She is a successful small business owner and real estate professional in North Texas.
Lily is a devoted wife and mother to four beautiful girls. Bao and her family attend Collin County Chinese Fellowship Church in north Plano where she serves our next generation as a Sunday School and Awana program teacher.
