The 18st AIRSpace is Plano Public Library's Artist in Residence program. The 18st AIRSpace at Harrington Library is a place to learn, share, and create! The 18st AIRSpace provides opportunities for the community to engage with artists as they work in the AIRSpace. We hope that these interactions will spark your creativity and that you’ll want to participate in a workshop or be spontaneous with make and take projects.
The artists rotate monthly. Dates and times the artist is in residence vary each month. Workshops, taught by the artist, are offered twice a month on a first-come, first-served basis. Workshops and Make and Takes reflect the artistic style of the current artist in residence.
Initial funding for AIRspace was provided by Friends of the Plano Public Library with the hope that it would inspire additional community support and extend the downtown Plano arts scene all the way to Harrington Library! Continued funding for the 18st AIRSpace program is made possible in part by a grant from the U. S Institute of Museum and Library Services and Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (2017).
