Make and Take are simple hands-on projects that you can do in the 18st AIRSpace at Harrington Library while you visit with the artist. Step by step instructions and materials for Make and Take are available so that you can still participate on site when the artist is not present
Make a small basket with simple weaving techniques
Learn how to use soda straws to create a woven bracelet
Create your own street art learning basic graffiti lettering with design techniques using various color patterns and effects to enhance your masterpiece
Combine media and textural techniques with a variety of inks, colored pencils, markers and collage materials to create miniature works of art. Then trade them with your friends
Use wire and yarn to create a colorful Guatemalan worry doll. When you’re done, bend the arms and legs into a pose and tell the doll your trouble
