There are many ways adults can volunteer within the City of Plano. The VIP office works to match residents’ needs and skills with the needs of various City departments. Collin County Homeless Coalition
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Plano City Hall in the Building Inspection Training Room, 9am-11am. Guests are welcome.
Boards and Commissions
Volunteer for the Second Annual Plano Public Safety PULLooza! PULLooza is a Fire Truck Pull that pits teams of 12 against each other in a timed race to pull a Plano fire truck a distance of 75 feet! All proceeds of the Fire Truck Pull benefit Special Olympics Texas.
Volunteers are needed for the following tasks: • Set up and break down – tables, chairs, tents, signs, etc. • General information for attendees • Greeting and directing vendors and booth sponsors • Help with registration and tee-shirt distribution for Fire Truck Pull Teams • Crowd control during the Fire Truck Pull and other scheduled events • Serving as liaisons to the Fire Truck Pull teams • Keeping official Pull times • Serving as Mascot Wrangler (keeping all the mascots in line and where they should be)
Saturday, October 14 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Oak Point Amphitheatre Parking Lot and Event Field.
