There are many ways adults can volunteer within the City of Plano. The VIP office works to match residents’ needs and skills with the needs of various City departments.   • Collin County Homeless Coalition
    Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Plano City Hall in the Building Inspection Training Room, 9am-11am. Guests are welcome.

Current need!


Volunteer for the Second Annual Plano Public Safety PULLooza! PULLooza is a Fire Truck Pull that pits teams of 12 against each other in a timed race to pull a Plano fire truck a distance of 75 feet!  All proceeds of the Fire Truck Pull benefit Special Olympics Texas.

Volunteers are needed for the following tasks:
•         Set up and break down – tables, chairs, tents, signs, etc.
•         General information for attendees
•         Greeting and directing vendors and booth sponsors 
•         Help with registration and tee-shirt distribution for Fire Truck Pull Teams 
•         Crowd control during the Fire Truck Pull and other scheduled events
•         Serving as liaisons to the Fire Truck Pull teams
•         Keeping official Pull times
•         Serving as Mascot Wrangler (keeping all the mascots in line and where they should be) 

Saturday, October 14 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Oak Point Amphitheatre Parking Lot and Event Field.
