Wildlife Rehabilitation: Squirrel 101

This class is designed for wildlife rehabilitators or individuals who are interested in learning how to care for orphaned, ill, and injured squirrels. The topics of this course are listed below: • The squirrels of Texas • Squirrel natural history and squirrel rehabilitation • Developmental stages, nutrition, and housing • Common problems, causes, and solutions • Release • Health Risks • Lab - feeding and handling This course will consist of a lecture combined with a lab and class discussions of real live situations. A fee of $30 will cover classroom instruction, the class manual, and any other materials given during class. Payment is due before class starts. Class manual will be sent via email upon payment. A minimum of 5 registered students is required to offer this class. Payment may be made by Pay Pal at www.txmetrowildlife.org under “classes” or by mail.
