Mission Statement

The mission of the Board of Adjustment is to fulfill their legal obligations under the Codes and Ordinances of the City of Plano and the laws of the State of Texas.

Goals and Objectives

  • Fulfill the duties as required by State law and local ordinance.

  • Perform the duties in perfect accordance with all State required and court expected procedures.

  • Make the highest quality decisions possible, that are fair and impartial, by seeking out, listening to, and being receptive to all facts, viewpoints, and opinions.

  • Work to be as available, accommodating, and understanding as possible to all applicants and all citizens alike, being a model reflection of Plano as an “All-America City.”

  • Have a close working relationship with the City staff, particularly the Building Inspection Department, and the assigned City Council liaison.

Meeting Agendas

Effective March 14, 1997, the Board of Adjustment will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Meetings and agendas subject to change.
