Get the scoop on Trash & Recycling Schedule Changes for the New Year

Some changes to the trash and recycling schedules are coming in January. Watch for cart tags beginning next week. If you are not impacted, you will not receive a cart tag.

About 9,700 of Plano’s 72,000 residential homes will be affected. Basic information was included the December Live Green in Plano newsletter mailer. Because the new year is a busy time, we want to make sure you know your new collection days.

For the homes affected by schedule changes: Beginning next week, Environmental Waste Services will begin placing tags on your trash and recycling carts. The cart tag provides you with your specific collection day information. Please call the phone number if you have questions.

You can also find this information through our new Environmental Waste Service interactive map on the City’s Residential Services Trash & Recycling webpage. Enter your address in the search bar at the top, then click on your property (not on the pop-up search result box) and a window will appear listing all your collection days.

We appreciate your patience as we transition to the 2017 collection schedule. Please let us know if we can be of help.
