Fall Waterway Cleanup Makes an Impact

Plano’s first citywide Fall Waterways Cleanup was hosted on Saturday, November 4. More than 360 volunteers participated in removing 350 bags of litter (about 3.5 tons) from creeks and lakes in the city. Check out all the wonderful volunteer submitted photos from the event on our Live Green in Plano Facebook page. During the fall and winter we’ll be having monthly creek cleanups when the vegetation around waterways is dormant. Help us keep Plano’s waterways clean by joining one of the cleanups on December 2 at Shawnee Park and January 6 along the Chisholm Trail.
