2018 Summer Programs and Classes at the Library

Engage Summer 2018

Plano Public Library is your place for summer learning. Visit us, spark your curiosity and plan how you’re going to expand your mind this summer. We have something for everyone.

  • Thinking Money, a national initiative, geared at helping people become financially independent continues with programs at all five libraries
  • The 18st AIRSpace will host three artists this summer. You can learn watercolor, create hand-painted sketchbooks and make mini art quilts
  • Wonder Café lets you learn about the weather with Pete Delkus, what’s inside your cell phone with Barbara Peninger and explore factory automation with Mona Joseph
  • Learn about healthy living for your brain and body with the Alzheimer’s Association and ways to potentially reduce your risk of cognitive decline
  • Celebrate Tour de France by attending our French inspired events that include French bilingual storytime, cooking French and Pointillism art
  • Classes in the Genealogy Center provide the tools for locating ancestors who served in the United States Military
  • Plus sign up online and set your own reading goal. When you meet your reading goal, you can add your name to our wall of fame and take a special photo
