Gifts, Donations & Book Dedications

Used Books and Magazines

Don't throw away those used books and magazines! Drop them off at any of Plano's five libraries. Go to the service entrance and ring the buzzer. We'll be happy to take your donation and give you a receipt. It's tax deductible!

Books are used by the library system or sold at the Friends of the Plano Public Library Book Sale each year in July.

Magazines are sold by the Friends at all Plano libraries for 10 cents and paperbacks for 75 cents.

Donations are accepted year-round during normal hours of operation.

Friends of the Plano Public Library proceeds go to the library system to fund equipment, special projects, and programs.

Book Dedication Program

The next time you are faced with finding the perfect way to express your feelings, consider making a donation to purchase a new book for Plano Public Library System's collection.

Contribute $25, $50, $75, $100, or $????. A librarian will help you choose a title or the library will choose one for you. A bookplate with the honoree's name may be affixed to the inside cover. Friends of the Plano Public Library will notify the honoree or family members of memorial gifts. Book dedication forms are available at Plano's five libraries' circulation desks.
