Welcome to the Plano Wetcats. This program focuses on the special needs of triathletes, fitness swimmers, competitive masters swimmers, and YOU! All swimming levels are welcome. You must be 18 or older and be able to swim a few lengths of the pool without stopping.
                             
Thirty five workouts per week are offered with a coach on deck either at Oak Point Recreation Center or the Tom Muehlenbeck Center. Our coaches will provide expert assistance in the newest training techniques, proper stroke mechanics and even help individuals with goal setting. Our members are encouraged to set their own workout schedule choosing from any scheduled practice session.

Our workouts accommodate swimmers of all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced and triathlete. All practices are one hour in length and the total distance of each session ranges from 1200 to 3600 yards/meters. Time is usually available to finish workouts or extend a session if needed. The coaches will set up underwater video sessions and will take the time to work with any swimmer on a particular skill or stroke.

Our Wetcats have won numerous honors and have produced a handful of USMS All-Americans, World Record Holders, and even two World Swimmers of the Year. In 2011 we had 109 National Top 10 performances, with 13 world records. In addition, our triathletes are well respected in both local and regional competitions.
