There are numerous parks in Plano that have open fields on which to practice. Backstops at elementary schools and in neighborhood parks are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are intended for casual athletic practices.
Athletic Fields
All athletic fields must be reserved in advance through the Parks and Recreation office. Scheduling of these fields is necessary to help avoid conflicts with others wanting to use the fields, assure adequate parking for all activities, make sure restrooms are open and coordinate field and facility maintenance.
Reservation requests are accepted in person or by calling 972-941-5413 each Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and leaving a message that will be returned later in the day. Requests made on Thursdays are for practices the following week - Monday through Sunday. Fields for rental must be appropriate for the activity and age group.
