Adoptable Animals

We have many wonderful animals that are available for adoption here at the City of Plano Animal Shelter. All of these animals were either given up to us by their previous owner or have become the property of the City due to no owner claiming them after a period of five (5) days. The availability of any animal is subject to change at any time. If you see an animal listed that you think may be a welcome addition to your home, write down all the information (especially the ID number) and give us a call. We can then tell  you if the animal is still available for adoption or has already found a new home.

Adoption Fees

  • Dog        $75.00 (Includes the spay-neuter, rabies vaccination and DHLP-P vaccinations.)
  • Cat         $50.00(Includes the spay-nueter, rabies vaccination and FRCP vaccinations.)

*By Texas State Law, any animal adopted from a civil agency must be sterilized by 6 months of age and be vaccinated against the rabies virus as soon as the animal is old enough (4 months).

The Mission of the City of Plano Animal Services Division is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and people in Plano, TX.
