About Plano CERT
What is the Plano CERT?

The City of Plano Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is made up of citizens who have received specialized emergency preparedness training conducted by experienced emergency management professionals and first responders. In the event of a disaster, CERT members apply the decision-making, organizational, and practical skills learned in the classroom and during exercises to assist the City of Plano in various  activities upon activation by the Department of Emergency Management.

Plano CERT members also assist with non-emergency projects that improve the safety of the community. Our CERT members educate the public, assist during exercises and drills, and provide services at community events.
