MAJOR CONSTRUCTION ALERTS

US 75 AT PARKER ROAD INTERCHANGE (TxDOT) – PHASE 3 STAGE 2- Phase 3 Stage 2 has gone into effect. It consists of both eastbound and westbound Parker Rd traffic on new paving and the southern half of the new bridge.

US 75 AT PARKER ROAD INTERCHANGE (TxDOT)-

The following closures are scheduled next week for the US 75 @ Parker Road Project:

1. NB & SB US 75 Frontage Roads will be closed Wednesday, February 10 at 10:30pm to Thursday, February 11 at 6:00am.

2. NB & SB US 75 Mainlanes will be closed Thursday, February 11 at 10:30pm to Friday, February 12 at 6:00am.

OTHER LANE CLOSURES (EXCLUDING THOSE LISTED ABOVE)

ALMA DRIVE (DEV) – South of intersection with Park Blvd. the north and southbound inside lanes will be closed periodically 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday for the construction of turn lanes to gas station.  (Emy/David Sproat).

ALMA DRIVE (DEV) - North bound inside lane of Alma Rd. at 15^th. Street will be closed to pour the street cut. Closed until next Tuesday. (Emy/David Hurster).

BAFFIN BAY DRIVE –CUSTER ROAD TO BRISBANE LANE (CIP) – Will be closed for water line and street construction. (James Caswell/Walt Ellwood)

COIT ROAD - LEGACY TO SPRING CREEK -Street Dept. crew will start making pothole repairs on the southbound lanes of Coit Rd. from Legacy to Spring Creek. Various lanes will be closed at various times and overnight. Work should be completed within the next three weeks, weather permitting. Dale Pettit can be contacted at 972-769-4147.

COIT ROAD AT LEGACY DRIVE (CIP) - Various lanes on Coit and Legacy will be closed for widening at the intersection. Construction will be underway through summer 2010. (James Caswell/James Powell)

COMMUNICATIONS PARKWAY – PARKER ROAD TO SPRING CREEK PARKWAY (CIP) – Various lanes north and south bound will be closed for pavement widening. The project is expected to be underway through February, 2010. Traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible. (James Caswell/Trey McIver).

CUSTER ROAD AT BAFFIN BAY DRIVE (CIP) – Left turns for south bound and right turn for north turn bound Custer Road traffic will be prohibited at Baffin Bay Drive, which will be closed.  (James Caswell/Walt Ellwood)

JUPITER ROAD – SPRING CREEK TO LOS RIOS BLVD. (PARKS) – For next four weeks the outside lane northbound will be closed periodically 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday for the side walk and retaining wall construction in the Oak Point Park. (Parks/David Sproat)

JUPITER ROAD BETWEEN PARK BLVD AND 14TH STREET (PB.WKS) - Various lanes closed for street repairs both north and south bound on Jupiter. 2 lanes closed between 9AM and 4PM.

MAPLESHADE LANE – WEST OF COIT TO OHIO (CIP) – One westbound lane will be closed for construction of a sanitary sewer.  (Gerald Cosgrove/James Powell)

OHIO DRIVE - MAPLESHADE DR. TO PLANO PARKWAY. (CIP) - One northbound lane may be closed between 9AM and 4PM for construction of a sanitary sewer.  (Gerald Cosgrove/James Powell)

OHIO DRIVE BETWEEN PARKER AND SPRING CREEK PARKWAY - Various lanes closed north and south bound for street repairs, Detours may be set up between 9 AM and 4PM to facilitate work.

PARK BOULEVARD AND ALMA DRIVE – From November 9 to till completion two inside lanes to be closed from 9:00AM to 4:00PM Monday thru Saturday. The lanes will not be closed at the same time. Alma Drive to start first on November 9 (Emy Paclibon/ David Sproat)

PLANO PARKWAY – CHAPEL HILL TO MIDWAY. (PB. WKS.) - Street Dept. crew will have various lanes closed in westbound Plano Pkwy. from Chapel Hill to Midway. Work has started and will be completed by the end of next week. Dale Pettit can be contacted at 972-769-4147.

PLANO PARKWAY –MIDWAY WEST CITY LIMITS (CIP)   - Project includes widening from 4 to 6 lanes. The inside lanes of east and west bound Plano Parkway will be closed periodically for construction activity between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Monday through Saturday. (Husain Hamza/Trey McIver)

PRESTON ROAD AT LEGACY DRIVE (CIP) – Various lanes on Preston and Legacy will be closed for widening and median cross-over construction. Construction will be underway through summer of 2010. (James Caswell/Daniel Aleman)

RIDGEVIEW DR. - COIT TO INDEPENDENCE (CIP) – Project includes widening from 4 to 6 lanes. The widening is complete but the new inside lanes of east and west bound Ridgeview Drive are closed for landscaping activity. Monday through Saturday. (Husain Hamza/Trey McIver)
