Storm Debris Response Plan:
Current Status of Completed Yard Trimming Routes (as of 7 am on May 6): All yard trimming routes have been completed for the second pass. Yard trimming crews will begin collecting storm debris piles located at street or curb for the remainder of this week. Regular yard trimming collections will resume on Monday, May 12.
Customer Service requests received since the storm on April 10: 7,754
The Yard Trimmings crews will prioritize completing their daily routes prior to working on the service requests or storm debris work. After completing the daily routes, the crews will then begin addressing storm debris placed at the curb.
-
Once all daily routes are completed, the crews will begin working on their area’s next day routes.
-
All Yard Trimmings crews have been instructed to collect the standard 15-20 minutes or 6-10’ chunk off of large piles (normal or storm debris), place a tag on the fence or front door of street piles to notify the resident we will return later that day if time permits or continue the collections during the next weeks collection, and then move on to the next pile to safely and effectively execute our Response Plan for cleaning up the entire city.
-
The Yard Trimmings crews will be running until 7:00 p.m. or later each night, as well as running a full crew and both Special Paid Collection trucks on Friday and Saturday for the foreseeable weeks until we can maintain the daily collections Monday through Thursday.
-
Residents will be allowed to deliver wood related (tree limbs or fence panels) storm debris to the Custer Road Grind Site (located at 9901 Custer Road at Ridgeview) without limit for the next three weeks.
-
Only the Special Paid Collection piles will be completed (from beginning to end) before moving on to the next collection location and pile.
-
Only Storm Debris piles will be scheduled for Special Paid Collections for the next one to two weeks. As an option residents may want to utilize their twice a month solid waste disposal (i.e. transfer station) program to remove solid waste related materials in a more timely manner.
