Land development affects our water and land habitats, the atmosphere, human health and quality of life. To minimize these related impacts, Green Building is quickly becoming an important part of the design, planning, development and construction stages of both new development and redevelopment projects all around the country. Green building practices are being appropriately tailored toward commercial office buildings, retail shopping centers, educational and healthcare facilities, multi-family complexes, as well as individual residential homes. This type of design strives to create a balance between environmental responsibility, resource efficiency, occupant comfort and well-being, and community sensitivity throughout  the project.
