With the warmer and more pleasant weather headed our way, more families will be spending time on or near the water.

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 1 to 4 years and the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 1 to 14 years.  Read more...


Eligibility List for Fire Rescue Specialist

The Plano Fire Department held an entrance exam for Fire Rescue Specialist on Saturday, February 23rd.  Click here to see the eligibility list from that exam.  Questions concerning the exam or the list should be referred to the City of Plano Human Resources Department at 972-941-7115.

On October 30th the Plano Fire Department awarded trophies to the City Level winners of the 2007 Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest.  On March 29th the posters were judged at the District Level competition.
