Proposed Pool Code Changes
Federal Legislation that seeks to end hundreds of preventable childhood deaths was signed into law on December 21, 2007. This law, the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Safety Act, will provide incentive grants to states that have current legislation or pass legislation implementing layers of protection to help prevent drowning, the second leading cause of accidental death in children aged 1 to 14 years.
