The beautiful building features a large Children’s Section, with a hand painted castle entrance to the Storytime Area, state-of-the-art automated Reference and Circulation services, and Program and Conference Rooms. The full service community library provides reading materials, reference services, database searching capabilities, Internet access, and children’s and young adult programming activities.

The library opened to the public on August 17, 1998. Named for former Director of Libraries Maribelle M. Davis, who celebrated 30 years of service with the City of Plano in October, 1998.  This facility was the first building on a joint municipal facility site, which was ultimately shared with a Police substation and Building Inspections and Customer/Utility Services offices in 2003. The 30,000 square foot library has more than 130,000 items in its collection. Davis library is visited by over 1,000 people a day.
