Court Date Information

If you would like to plead "Not Guilty" and request a Trial by Judge or Jury, you may make your request by mail or in person within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of offense. If you request a Trial by Jury, there is a mandatory Pre-Trial Hearing you MUST attend. If you are making your request for a court date outside your fifteen (15) calendar days, you must appear in person and you will be required to post a cash bond in the amount of the fine for the violation for which you have been charged. You will NOT be placed on a court docket until a bond has been posted. Please note that appropriate attire is required in the Court Room. No shorts of any kind are permitted.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:

  • If you are eligible for a Driving Safety Course at the Clerk's Window, you will waive the option for DSC if you do not accept this option within seven (7) days of your request for a court date;
  • If you are eligible for Deferred Disposition, the Special Expense Fee will be the maximum amount allowed by state law if you do not accept this option within seven (7) days of your request for a court date.
  • If you are granted an option, you MUST be prepared to pay any State Costs, Administrative Fee or Special Expense Fee required at the time of your court date.

PLEASE NOTE AGAIN: Appropriate attire is required in the Court room. No shorts of any kind are permitted.
