If you were issued a citation for a Seat Belt or Child Safety Seat violation and you have never taken a Seat Belt Education Course, you may request to take the Seat Belt Education Course to dismiss your citation. You will need to make your request in person at either Court Clerk’s Office locations; and pay the following:
The Clerk will give you a date and the location to attend the Course. NOTE: There are NO resets for the Course date you will be given.
NOTE: A second or subsequent Child Safety Seat violation may be as much as $250.00 plus $102.25 state costs, or plus $127.25 state costs if offense occurred in a school zone.
NOTE: Effective August 1, 2009, all credit card and debit card payments made either in person or through the Online Citation Payment System, will incur a 3.5% processing fee.
