Phase Four - Implementation
Once the plan has been adopted by City Council, implementation begins. Some elements of the Neighborhood Action Plan are implemented by direct neighborhood action, often with City support. The Neighborhood Planner will assume responsibility for ensuring that city projects are completed while the neighborhood planning team will be responsible for overseeing implementation of other projects.
Ultimately, the neighborhood should be working independently to actively improve the conditions of their community. Neighborhood clean-ups, community festivals, and Crime Watch are a few examples of projects that the neighborhood might accomplish. Other elements, such as street maintenance, will be the City’s responsibility.
