Phase One- Research/Analysis
To initiate the neighborhood planning effort staff collects a variety of information about the neighborhood. Some of the sources we use are:
1. A survey that is mailed to every resident and property owner in the selected program area;
2. Data from the census and the American Community Survey.
3. Interviews with various city departments that regularly work in the neighborhood.
Once the data is compiled, we analyze the data to effectively direct the goals and objectives of the neighborhood; then we summarize the information to share with residents in the program neighborhood.
