Planning Phase Three

Phase Three - Adoption

Once a Neighborhood Action Plan is complete, the document is presented to the City of Plano’s Planning and Zoning Commission for review and recommendation and then finally to City Council for adoption. Plan adoption by City Council marks the end of the planning phase and the beginning of the implementation phase.

The action items of the adopted Neighborhood Action Plan may serve, in part, as the basis for the City’s annual allocation of funds to be devoted to neighborhood improvement projects and programs. The actions identified in this plan are prioritized based on the immediacy of impact and demand and the level of commitment and action taken by the individual neighborhoods toward partnership objectives.
