Love Where You Live events empower communities by demonstrating that acts of kindness bring people together, thus strengthening the community.
It provides a vehicle for people to demonstrate compassion and kindness on a broad and collective basis. The effort builds bridges between demographic, socioeconomic, ideological, religious and geographic barriers, resulting in community transformation.
Love Where You Live is not a one day event.
It’s an “attitude” and “commitment” to reach out to our neighbors.
Love Where You Live is an attitude of caring for others.
Love Where You Live is a commitment to help others.
Love Where You Live will transform our community!

Becoming a Love Where You Live Partner or Volunteer
Becoming a partner or a volunteer is easy – it simply requires your participation. A group or individual’s level of participation determines the status of partner or volunteer! Both are equally important and the Love Where You Live Team welcomes all participants!
Each Love Where You Live project has two very important meetings that all potential partners and volunteers should plan to attend: the stakeholders meeting and the volunteer training & project adoption meeting.
Spring 2012 Love Where You Live Event
· Monday, February 27, 2012 @ 2PM – Plano Municipal Center – Stakeholders Meeting
· Tuesday, March 27, 2012 @ 7PM – Plano Bible Chapel – Volunteer Training & Project Adoption
-
Contact Monique Coleman if you would like to be added to the e-mail distribution list.
-
-
Contact Robin Popik to register as a Love Where You Live volunteer - registration in the City of Plano volunteer database is REQUIRED for all partipants (partners and volunteers).
Love Where You Live partners and volunteers are very distinct roles.
· A partner is generally a group, individual, entity, or organization that has invested a long-term commitment to the mission of Love Where You Live. Partners generally jump in to support each initiative without request and are often willing to provide spontaneous support to residents and fellow Love Where You Live partners.
· A volunteer is generally a group, individual, entity, or organization that enjoys community service and wants to participate in the Love Where You Live Community Service Project Day! Some volunteers or (volunteer groups) will adopt community service projects. In past projects, some volunteers enjoyed the Love Where You Live experience so much they transitioned to become a long-term partner.
