The Graffiti Ordinance City of Plano Ordnance No. 95-8-49 Declares Graffiti to be a Safety Hazard and Public Nuisance which contributes to Neighborhood Deterioration and results in property devaluation. Ordinance Highlights It is: -
Unlawful for a minor to posses indelible markers or pressurized devices. -
Parents and guardians are responsible for graffiti created by their minor dependants. -
Unlawful to sell or give indelible markers or pressurized paint devices to minors. -
Property owners are responsible for removing graffiti on their property. -
Violations to this ordinance are subject to fines of $200.00 - $2000.00 per occurrence. -
The city may remove graffiti at no cost after receiving written consent and a waiver of liability from the property owner. Register a complaint
