In a residential district motor vehicles and special vehicles (any trailer designed to be towed on public streets or any self propelled vehicle exceeding 22 feet in length) are required to be parked or stored on an improved surface. Motor vehicles must be parked or stored only on concrete or asphalt surfaces. For special vehicles, paving stones, brick, gravel, or crushed rock surfaces may be used. Gravel and crushed rock is allowed in the side and rear yards. When a vehicle or special vehicle is observed by a Property Standards Specialist to be in violation of the city ordinance a notice sticker is placed upon the vehicle, trailer, boat/trailer, etc. allowing 24 hours to relocate to a proper parking surface.
