PLANO TEEN COURT JUSTICE JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS: A teen justice must treat each case individually, with objectivity and without prejudice. Must have an ability to communicate, work in a group, and be able to maintain confidentiality of all cases. Juror must be 13-18 years old. DUTY: Participate as a member of a teen justice panel. During the Teen Court trial, listen attentively and objectively to the facts of the case and the arguments, if any, of the attorneys. Assign (unanimously with the other teen justice members) the number of community service hours and any other reasonable conditions designed to hold the youth responsible for his/her actions. RESPONSIBLE TO: Plano Teen Court Coordinator or designated adult volunteer. Municipal Court Judge. LENGTH OF COMMITMENT: A minimum of two (2) evenings a month for four (4) months.
