The Summer Lunch Program
The City of Plano, with federal funding, and PISD work together to provide a free summer lunch program for youth in our community. The lunch program is offered June 9th through August 1st. Lunches will be served Monday – Friday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Williams High School, 1717 17th Street.
Your help is needed to make the program a success. Just one hour, one day, once in June and/or once in July. Volunteers will assist children with their lunch trays, monitor the lunch line, make sure participants dispose of trash properly, wipe off table tops and empty trash. Schedules are very flexible.
Also looking for a volunteer to run games for the students after lunch twice a week. Games such as kickball, dodgeball, indoor soccer etc. 11-230pm twice weekly. To sign up please contact Corina Rodriguez at corinar@plano.gov
