| Therapeutic Recreation Leisure Buddies – 14 years minimum age Help children with special needs in leisure activities. Volunteers will interact with participants in social settings and activities including arts and crafts, games, swimming, bowling, and more. A one time orientation is a must. Teen Jurors Year Round 13-18 years old Learn about our legal system by becoming jury members and attorneys. Jurors help determine community service hours assigned to a teen peer who has pled guilty or no contest to a Class C Misdemeanor offense. Teen Court is held every Monday from 5:30-8:00pm. Orientations for jurors and attorneys are required, plus a minimum of 20 hours per semester. Email Becky Rubenstein at beckyg@plano.gov or Robin Popik at robinp@plano.gov for more information.
College student or recent college graduate preferred to help out with paperwork for Teen Court. They would have to be available on Monday evenings from 5:00-8:00 twice a month.
Summer Camp Volunteers Teens 14+ are needed to assist with summer camp activities Monday through Friday. Special Edition Kid Kapers Liberty Recreation – starting June 16 through August 1 Special Edition Kids Kapers Williams Recreation – starting July 7 through July 18
