Submit your request to tinab@plano.gov, and contact Judi Gradt at 972/941-7436 to sign up, fill out necessary paperwork and pick up needed supplies. Animal Shelter Projects Although individuals under the age of 18 can’t volunteer at the Plano Animal Shelter, there are many things you can do to help the animals.  Please consider the following projects: •Scout project can also include laundry, designing windows, cleaning traps, washing trucks, filing and many more •Create and decorate paperweight rocks, or cat condos out of shoe boxes •Help organize a collection for the shelter: pet food (IAMS), collars (all sizes decorated), Tidy Cat kitty litter (non-scooping) used towels, paper towels, pennies •Make beds from fabrics & quilting materials, email planoanimalvol@aol.com for sizes. •Group to create landscaped area Book Smart If you or your organization would like to organize a book collection to help the Plano libraries stock up for the annual book sale, email Corina Rodriguez @ corinar@plano.gov or go to your local library. Hands In Motion Donate baby yarn. Help seniors keep busy while providing baby blankets, sweaters and more to nearby hospitals and bring it to the Senior Center at 401 W 16th Street for the SeniorKnit volunteers.
