Assist With Minor Home Repairs -- Helping Partners
There is an abundance of opportunities for adult volunteer groups to assist Plano residents through our Helping Partners Referral Service Program. Here we provide community organizations an opportunity to promote teamwork among members, improve their community, and enhance community relations. It brings together community groups with pre-approved residents in need of serve as a partner in neighborhood revitalization. Program benefits include assisting residents in need, improving and preserving homes and neighborhoods, and repairing homes to meet City codes. Click here for a program brochure. Projects include: fence repair, yard work (includes trimming trees and bushes), trash removal, exterior painting, maintenance repairs and minor items. Groups interested can send an email to Ginab@plano.gov to learn more.

Assist With Minor Home Repairs - Love Where You Live
A neighborhood revitalization program - May 2012. Groups are needed to help residents with minor repairs or assist with neighborhood clean-ups, such as yard work, painting, fixing a fence, alley clean-up, premise ID, or storm drain labeling. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
One Time Event - Friends of the Library Book Sale
In August, volunteers are needed to during this 3 day event setting up tables, set out books, during the sale and with clean-up.
Sign-up anytime to Adopt-A-Park
A program for individuals and groups. Volunteers are asked to visit their park once or twice a week to walk trails, be visible to patrons, pick up litter and help keep our parks well maintained by reporting needed repairs straight to our Fix-It tool free # or online at www.plano.gov/fixit . Animal Shelter clean-up assistance
Adult groups are used several times a month for clean-up crews to help maintain a clean and safe environment for staff, volunteers and the animals. Shifts are typically between 7am-2pm Tues-Sun. Please contact Gina Bruton at ginab@plano.gov for more information or to pick a date.
Event Assistance - Summer Concerts
