Workplace CARES provides city employees an opportunity to make
a significant contribution through organized volunteer efforts. Employees
evaluate and choose CARES projects that will make an impact on our community
and our hearts.
This employee volunteer program began in September 1995 and provides
city employees (who have limited time but want to give back to the community)
an opportunity to make a significant contribution through organized volunteer
efforts. In 1998, 100 employees, plus various departments, participated
in 10 CARES projects donating over 4,000 hours.
Workplace
CARES Committee evaluates and choose CARES projects that will make
an impact on our community and our hearts. These projects contribute to
increased employee morale, build leadership skills, and increase collaboration
between City departments.
