Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve

Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, Plano's largest park, is approximately 800 acres located along Rowlett Creek in eastern Plano. The park extends from Parker Road on the south to Chaparral Road on the north and from Spring Creek Parkway on the west to future Los Rios Boulevard on the east.

New Construction - October 2008
We are now constructing parking, restrooms, a pavilion and trails on the eastern side of the park at this time. For comments or questions, please contact Mr. Bill Dakin, Landscape Architect/Project Manager, at 972-941-7271 or billd@plano.gov

The first phase of park improvements, completed in 2003, included utilities and parking spaces to support special events, such as the Plano Balloon Festival, adjacent to Spring Creek Parkway.

The Amphitheater at Oak Point Park was completed in September 2005. The Amphitheater includes seating for 1000 persons on terraces and native Texas limestone retaining walls, permanent sound and lights, an entertainment roof structure, comfortable and convenient restroom facilities, and production control room; all in a wildland setting for music and performing arts.

Master Plan
Approved January 2005
