Game Status Information
Game status for each day's scheduled Adult Sports will be available on weekdays Monday-Friday at 4pm and on Sunday at 1pm. There will be no advance information provided prior to these times.

Call 972-941-7278 (option 1-softball, option 2-football) for updates. You may also click on the Adult Sports message board link above.

If inclement weather moves into the Heritage Yards area or the football playing fields after these times, staff will udpdate the rain-out phone lines and message board as soon as games have been canceled. Please continue to monitor our Web site and phone rain-out line on a regular basis if the weather is questionable.

Adult League Play

--Slow-Pitch Softball Leagues--
Leagues sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association are available for three seasons peryear. These are Spring (February-May), Summer (May-July), and Fall (August-October). Leagues consist of four divisions: Men's, Coed, Women's and Church. Various skill levels are AAA, AA, and A (lowest). Minimum age requirement is 15 years.

ASA Banned Bats
  The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), through the Bat Testing and Certification Program has determined that several bats containing an ASA certification mark are no longer eligible for use in sanctioned play. Click here for the ASA Web site information. A list of  "grandfathered" bats which will be no longer authorized by ASA beginning in 2008 is available through this link.

Softball Tournaments  Local organizations and adult teams may rent ball fields at Heritage Yards at Plano to conduct adult softball tournaments. Dates for tournaments are available March through October each year. Reservations require a non-refundable field deposit. Call 972-941-5243 for complete information about private softball tournaments.

Softball Officiating  Want to look cool in powder blue? Join the Plano Umpires Association and learn how to officiate adult slow-pitch softball. Amateur Softball Association umpire certification classes are offered annually for rookies and veterans. Minimum age is 18. Instruction includes training in field mechanics. Contact the Adult Sports Programs Office for more information.


--Coed Volleyball Leagues--
Recreational, Minor, and Major leagues are available during Spring (February-April), Summer (May-July), and Fall (August-October) seasons. Minimum age requirement is 15.

--Men's Flag Football Leagues--
Recreational leagues, 8 x 8, are offered during the Spring (February-April) and Fall (September-November) seasons. During the Summer (May-July) season, both 4 x 4 leagues and 8 x 8 leagues are offered. All leagues follow Texas Amateur Athletic Federation rules. Minimum age requirement is 18.

--Men's Basketball Leagues--
Men's basketball, sanctioned by the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, is available during the Winter (November-January) season only. Minimum age requirement is 18.
