Oak Point Recreation Center will close at 2pm on Friday, September 19th, the pool will close at 11am. Both the recreation and pool will remain closed all day Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st due to the Plano Balloon Festival. We will reopen on Monday, September 22nd at 5am.

PUBLIC LAP SWIMMING
- The lap lanes are provided for those wishing to keep fit through continuous lap swimming. All swimmers must be able to swim continuously and demonstrate knowledge of lap swimming etiquette. Swimmers unable to do so will be asked by the pool staff to leave the lap lane.
Badminton Open Play
Wednesdays - 7pm-9:30pm
Fridays - 7pm-9:30pm - One court is available for families with young children. Children need to be with a adult at all times.

You may purchase your membership at any recreation center. Memberships are valid at all recreation centers and public pools and are not required to enroll in our courses. For membership information please see Memberships.
You must check in and present your membership card at the front desk each time you visit. Another form of ID is required if you do not have your membership card. Replacement cards are available at $2 each.
A membership card is required to check out any equipment, even for children.

A drop-in fee is available for those guests without a membership or those who wish to try out the facility.

Adults, 16 years & older, must present a valid photo ID (Driver’s License preferred) at the front desk at the time of check in. School-aged guests will be asked to present a current school ID. Children 2 years and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. All users must follow the rules and policies for use of the recreation center. Children under 7 years of age must always be with a paying parent/adult (16 years & older).
A variety of day time and evening classes are available for all age groups and all areas of interest. For a complete listing of classes, please see the current Leisure catalog or visit Leisure OnLine. Pre-registration is necessary for all courses but membership is not required.

Two gyms are available for drop-in basketball. Organized practices and private coaching are not allowed. Basketball court shoes must be worn. Dunking or grabbing on basketball rims will result in suspension from the facility. Full-court games are not allowed during peak hours in order to make room for more players. Junior or standard sized basketballs may be checked out at the desk with a membership card.
Weights, elliptical machines, stationary bicycles, treadmills and stair climbers are available for use by individuals 16 years of age and older. Individuals 13 to 15 years of age may use the weight Room if actively supervised by a paying parent/guardian at all times. Children are not allowed in the weight room for safety reasons.
Weight room users must wear shirts for hygiene purposes. Crop tops, muscle shirts are not allowed. Shirts must cover the torso Please bring a towel to wipe off equipment after use.

Equipment available for check out and play in the game room includes table tennis, foosball, air hockey, billiards, and board games. Membership cards are required to check out equipment. There is a 20-minute time limit on game use during peak hours in order to allow more time for everyone. Members must be at least 9 years of age to check out billiards equipment.
Our indoor track measures 1/15 of a mile (15 laps=1 mile). All users are expected to travel in the direction indicated and are asked not to stop or stand any where on the track. Proper shoes must be worn. Strollers may be used on the track. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult while using the track. Children under the age of 8 must be within arm's length of the adult.
Lap counters are available for check out at the front desk with a membership card.
Three courts are available for one-hour reservations made on the hour during hours of operation. One court is available as a drop-in, challenge court. Members may make a court reservation in person or over the phone no more than two days in advance. A member may have only one reservation at a time. Unclaimed reservations will be forfeited at 10 minutes after the assigned hour.
There is a $2 court reservation fee per court. Court use is limited to members 16 years and older. Members age 15 or younger must be with an adult on the court. Raquet rentals are available for $2 per use. Balls and protective glasses are available at no charge.
The simulated climbing wall features five top rope courses that are 21 feet in height creating 600 square feet of climbing. A variety of climbing opportunities are available from instructional courses to drop-in climbing. Drop-in use for certified climbers is included in your membership fee. Comfortable stretch clothing and tennis shoes, or climbing shoes, are recommended.
Proper waivers must be signed before climbing. Detailed information is available at the check-in desk or from any staff member.
Rent the Climbing Wall
Rentals are available for your scout, church, school, or work group, for a birthday party, or just for fun with friends! You provide the climbers and we will provide all of the equipment and instructors. Group size is limited to a maximum of 10 climbers. Rentals are available Fridays 6:30-8:30pm or Saturdays 2-4pm. The cost is $100. Advance reservations are required.

The indoor pool features a 50-meter by 25-yard pool with a shallow water leisure area complete with waterslide, tumble buckets, and zero-depth entry ramp. The water is heated to 84 degrees year-round to insure comfortable and enjoyable aquatic activities.
Opportunities include public swim, lap swimming, Learn-to-Swim lessons, Special Aquatics, and the Masters Swim Team.
Pool hours vary seasonally and usually follow the Plano Independent School District calendar.

The Masters Swim Program is designed for adults who wish to enhance their swimming ability, strength, stamina, and fitness in a coached team environment. Aquaducks Youth Swim Team
The Aquaducks team is designed for kids who want to have fun while advancing their swimming skills. While primarily a summer team, they do have clinics throughout the entire year. For more information, visit our Aquaducks Team Page.
The outdoor pool is open in the summer months from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The shallow water pool features a water slide, zero-depth beach entry, water playground, and a variety of spray features. Admission includes outdoor and indoor pool facilities.
For safety, children must be 48 inches tall and be able to swim in order to use the water slides.
Flotation devices are limited to US Coast Guard approved life jackets which are provided for you if needed.
Pool Party Rentals & Reservations
From birthday parties to family reunions, we offer several options for your pool party needs. Exclusive rentals may be made for two hours and lifeguards are provided.
There is also an option for Party Place rentals, which may be reserved during public swim hours. Party Place rentals allow you to have party food and gifts in a designated area with each person paying the public swim admission.
