Heritage Preservation Awards Recognize Key 2008 Achievements (Part I of II)

National Historic Preservation Month was never a more fitting backdrop than at this year's 2008 Plano Heritage Preservation Awards, celebrated May 6, 2008. Now a Plano landmark, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Interurban Railway Museum in historic Downtown's Haggard Park was the site of the awards ceremony... Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Plano Stages presents a Beatles Tribute Night, Friday, May 16, 7pm, Amphitheater at Oak Point Park (2801 E. Spring Creek – just east of Jupiter/Spring Creek). The boys from Liverpool will be remembered with unique interpretations from “Beatlesgras,” presenting the Beatles the bluegrass way.  National cover band “American English” will then bring the boys to life in a must-see performance.  Both have won fans all across the country for their interpretations of the timeless Beatles songbook.  Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome – bring your own lawn chair and/or blankets.  Free parking.  $12 adults - $6 children (12 and younger – age 3 and younger are free) - $6 seniors (60 ).
