Plano Encourages Community Input on Rice Field Project
As the City of Plano prepares to partner in transforming Rice Field from
football field to residential neighborhood development, a public meeting has
been set for Wednesday, July 13.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Plano Municipal Center, 1520 K Avenue.
Lexington Luxury Builders, the developer for the Rice Field Redevelopment
Project, is coordinating the meeting in collaboration with the City to
gather input on how to make the development a part of the surrounding
community.
The Rice Field Redevelopment Project is a 6-acre site between 16th and 18th
streets, to the west of Avenue G. In the past it has been used by the Plano
Independent School District as an athletic field. As part of the
redevelopment process, Lexington Luxury Builders is going to hold a series
of public meetings with the July 13 meeting being the first.
Citizens with questions can contact Mark Israelson, Assistant to the City
Manager, at (972) 941- 5440.
