For Immediate Release: September 13, 2005 Contact: Christine Eubanks Cultural Programs Coordinator Creative Arts Phone: (972) 941-7740 PLANO PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB PRESENTS SHOWCASE 2005 Juried Exhibition Hosted by Plano Municipal Exhibits Program The City of Plano’s Municipal Exhibits Program is hosting SHOWCASE 2005, a juried photographic exhibition by the Plano Photography Club during September and October. For the first month the exhibit will be displayed at the Plano Municipal Center, 1520 Avenue K. In October, the show moves to Plano Centre, 2800 Spring Creek Parkway. SHOWCASE 2005 may be viewed Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both Plano Municipal Center and Plano Centre are fully accessible. An exhibit opening reception will be held at the Plano Municipal Center on Friday, September 16 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Adjudicator for the exhibition will be Clark Crenshaw, an award-winning nature photographer, whose work includes a wide variety of images presenting nature in a unique way. His photographs have been published in numerous magazines, such as “Nature Photographer” and “Texas Highways.” SHOWCASE 2005 is part of a series of exhibits offered by the City of Plano. The exhibits display works from local and regional artists at the Plano Municipal Center, Plano Centre, Courtyard Theater and other public facilities, such as libraries. The Plano Photography Club, located in Plano, has served Plano, Dallas and surrounding communities for more than 20 years. The organization is open to anyone interested in photography and welcomes participation at all skill levels, from beginner to professional.
