For Immediate Release: September 14, 2005 Contact: Terrance Wright Douglass Community Center Phone: (972) 941-7174 Plano Reels in Fishing Buddies On Saturday, September 17, the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department will host Kid Fishing. Kid Fishing offers children in the community a chance to test their fishing skills in a City lake. This year the event will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shawnee Park, 3380 Sherwood Drive. The Dallas Bass Hookers are co-sponsoring the event with the City. Participants will be served hotdogs and chips. Rods and reels will be provided for those who want to fish. T-shirts and door prizes will also be given out. Registration is required and begins at 8 a.m. but is limited to only 50 children. Children must be between the ages of five and 16 being eligible to fish. The event is FREE. For more information, call Douglass Community Center at (972) 941-7174.
