other meeting sites that display exemplary creativity and
professionalism to groups. ConventionSouth readers include some
of the top meeting planners of the U.S.
“We are very please and honored to be recognized by ConventionSouth
magazine and its readers,” Mark Thompson, Director of the Plano

been has helped the Plano CVB in establishing Plano as a more recognized
destination for meetings and conventions.
The Plano CVB was founded in 1988 as the destination marketing entity
for the City of Plano. It is funded annually by local hotel and motel
taxes. Through marketing and sales, the CVB attracts groups, sporting
events and leisure travelers to Plano’s 29 hotels, more than 700
restaurants and numerous attractions.
The Plano CVB operates from within the Plano Centre at Jupiter and
Spring Creek Parkway. Plano Centre is full-service, multi-purpose
facility that accommodates conventions; corporate functions and parties;
