Arbor Day Observance Scheduled for November 4 In Plano
This year the City of Plano’s Arbor Day observance is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 at Preston Meadow Park (4243 Lorimar Drive). The activities will begin at 10:00am with a brief ceremony.
The Plano Parks Foundation and the Plano Garden Club are the sponsors of an hour-long program of free activities. Those children in attendance may participate in activities like Arbor Day Leaf Twister and Tree Bingo, or make leaf rubbings, plant seeds, and make leaf necklaces. Staff will also be on hand to assist the young ones in making tree cookies with supplies provided by Whole Foods.
Adults Arbor Day observers will have the opportunity for involvement at a tree information station.
