Plano Court Computer System Outage
Today the Plano Municipal Court computer system experienced severe water damage due to an accident. Technicians are working to restore the computer system as soon as possible. In the meantime, Court personnel are processing citations manually.
The online citation payment method will not be available until the main computer system is restored. However, citizens with citations may pay in person if they bring their citation to the Municipal Court. Citizens wishing to pay by mail will need to contact the Court at (972) 941-2199 to confirm the correct payment amount.
To find out the daily status of the computer system, call (972) 941-2199 or visit the City of Plano Web site at www.plano.gov and click on Municipal Court Status link under News Briefs. Citizens will have ten (10) calendar days from the date the computer system is restored to make an appearance or contact the court.
To contest a citation, citizens may request a court date by mail or contact the Municipal Court at (972) 941-2199.
Citizens with trials or pre-trials scheduled between Dec. 13 and Dec. 21 should contact the Municipal Court to confirm scheduling at (972) 941-2199.
