PARR LIBRARY PLANS SCHOOL HOLIDAY EVENT
On Thursday, Dec. 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Parr Library, 6200 Windhaven Parkway, will provide activities for students in the first through 12th grades to celebrate the school holiday.
All students are invited to watch the PG-rated movie, “Over The Hedge.” The movie begins with several forest animals awakening from hibernation to discover that a tall hedge has appeared and their food gathering sites have disappeared because of a new housing development just on the other side. Their safety-conscious leader Verne urges them to just adapt, but RJ gives them another option: go over the hedge and gather lots of food from the humans! Of course, when the forest animals and the people meet, all kinds of trouble ensue.
Students in sixth through 12th grades will create crafts using unique recycled items with the popular local artist, Vet of Found Objects.
These events are free and registration is not required. For more information about these programs and others provided by the Plano Public Library System, call Parr Library at (972) 769-4300 or visit www.planolibrary.org.
