2007 COLLECTION SERVICE CALENDAR DELAYED
The 2007 Collection Service Calendar will be delayed due to logistical challenges announced operations manager, Robert Smouse, Sustainability and Environmental Services.
Residents in select areas can expect to receive the annual collection guide in late December. The informational packets will be mailed to individual homes in the following ZIP codes: 75074, 75075, 75024, and 75025. Residents living outside these areas will receive the information in January on their recycling carts during their scheduled collection week.
“While there are no significant changes in the daily service schedule for the collection of trash and yard trimmings, the pilot program allowing for weekly recycling collection will be eliminated,” said Smouse. “Recycling collections will take place every other week on the same day as trash service.”
The Collection Service Calendar is a handy reference guide for residents offering a weekly recycling schedule and cost-saving tips for reducing waste through recycling.
As in the past, the collection schedule during the weeks of New Year’s Day and Martin Luther King Day will be delayed by one day.
