Line-up of Performers Announced for Texas Music Sundown Concerts Season Tickets now on Sale
Official announcement was made today of the line-up of performers for the Texas Music Sundown Concerts at the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park in Plano. With that announcement season ticket sales are open for the series which begins Thursday, June 14 at the facility located just east of Jupiter Road on Spring Creek Parkway.
While the series offers performances by more than two dozen musicians over the five month series, the featured artists are listed here in order of appearance: June 14 Terri Hendrix and Ruthie Foster July 12 Tom Russell and Eliza Gilkyson August 9 Jimmy LaFave and Gary P. Nunn September 6 Billy Jonas and Trout Fishing in America October 11 Christine Albert & Chris Gage and Kelly Willis Sponsored by the City of Plano and presented by the Creative Arts Division of the Plano Parks and Recreation Department, the monthly concert series is intended to provide the best Texas Music close to home for Plano folks while inviting families from the surrounding communities to enjoy the outdoor concerts in the beautiful Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve.
Season tickets in the reserved seating area offer chairs in the rows down front for a limited number of patrons at each concert (150). The price for reserved seating season tickets is $150 per person and includes admission to all five concerts in the season.
Purchasers of season tickets in the general admission, festival-seating area will pay $105 per person for the full season. General admission season tickets for children under twelve years of age are $90 each. Season ticket holders in the general admission area may bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
Gates will open at 6:30 pm on concert evenings, with the music starting at 7:30 pm. There will be one twenty-minute intermission. Free parking is available, with only a short walk to the gate. Most evenings, patrons should be on their way back home before 10:30 pm.
Food and beverage service is provided for patrons’ convenience. As concert-goers may arrive straight from work, they will be able to purchase a delicious meal at a reasonable price.
Tickets sales, now through May 9, are exclusively for season ticket buyers, with single admission tickets going on sale May 10 for individual concerts. Single admission ticket sales will continue for the balance of the season.
