Posted: January 24, 2005

The odds are you’re already aware of the City of Plano’s free ListServ email notification process, if you’re a regular reader of planocitynews.com. If not, check it out!

Through ListServ you can easily receive a variety of City of Plano notifications, without fear of your address being “sold” or cluttered with unsolicited spam.

ListServ is fast and easy, giving you access to a number of “subscription” options. You may subscribe to receive various meeting agendas or notifications from Animal Services, Planning and Building Inspections about new services or news alerts.

A subscription to Parks and Recreation or the Library system will provide you with email information on their latest events, activities or other happenings, with the Plano Television Network providing you information on programming you won’t want to miss.

Of course, planocitynews.com will provide you updates as news articles and photo essays are posted, a convenient way to stay in touch with municipal services, innovations and community events.

You have the option of receiving email alerts as they are posted, or to save them up for weekly or monthly notification. You may sign up for one, or all, municipal ListServ subscriptions, and amending or deleting notification subscriptions is as easy as 1-2-3.

When you enter the ListServ site you will see a listing of the Departments offering ListServ notifications. You simply click on “subscribe” for the desired listing, and an email will pop up notifying ListServ of your intention to subscribe. There is no need to enter any information, simply hit “send” and your subscription will be verified through a return email.

Your email address will be logged on automatically for ListServ updates, with updates sent to the address of the computer you used for logging in your subscription. Changes or deletions should be sent from that same computer address.
