The Plano City Council will be holding its Quarterly Neighborhood Roundtable
on Thursday, August 18, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Vines High School Cafeteria,
1401 Highedge Drive. This is for the District 4 area encompassed by Spring
Creek (N), Alma (E), George Bush Turnpike (S) and Ohio-Parker-Coit (W).
Plano is a municipality blessed with one of the most “public accessible”
City Councils in the nation. Receiving input from the citizenry is an
integral part of the Council’s governance process. To further provide
opportunities to address concerns and hear fresh ideas, quarterly
neighborhood roundtables are held throughout Plano, divided into geographic
areas to address specific neighborhood problems, projects or ideas.
The Roundtable uniquely involves both City Council members and City Staff,
on hand to answer any questions about City services and programs and to take
home recommendations for further study or individual concerns for further
investigation. Persons within each District receive a personal invitation,
sent to their residence.
Following general discussions, break out sessions are facilitated by City
Council members, followed by a general recap closing session.
If you live within District 4 and have never had the opportunity to attend a
City Council Roundtable, this meeting is a must. Bring your neighbors,
family and ideas for an evening of one-on-one input with your Plano City
Council and municipal staff.
If you have questions, contact 972-941-7747.
